The heritage that makes up Spanish public works and civil engineering infrastructures have their own identity and a value that needs to be defined, recognized and disseminated.

Road, canal and harbor engineers are decisive. in the preservation, conservation and rehabilitation of this patrimonial legacy that coexists with the landscape and that represents an opportunity for economic and tourist development.

We present to you the current coastal paths of the Costa Brava as ancient thousand-year-old paths that trace the coastal coastline, with the aim of maritime surveillance, and with a great heritage value of public works.

On the other hand, we have a profile of NEW/NEW SUSTAINABLE WALKER of the 21st century who appreciates:

• Freedom and autonomy in your travels
• Tour the territory without the need for a vehicle
• The connection to points of interest that are difficult to access

And we also have a profile of NEW COASTAL WALKERS who appreciate travelling without interruptions, beyond the limited round-trip path.

From BME Engineering, we present ourselves at the 1st International Conference of Public Works Heritage presenting how to achieve a new Camí de Mar without interruptions by establishing intervention and rehabilitation strategies based on a complete diagnosis of the entire Girona coastline.

And we don't have that now, but we want to create the tools to have it in the immediate future.

That is the reason why we created the association Camí de Mar de la Costa Brava, to achieve this!
