Uniting the Costa Brava and the Costa Vermellosa creates a sustainable future and cross-border social, labor and economic improvement; the two coasts invite us to know and love their natural and cultural landscape, and the life of their peoples.

The Sea Path is a path of nature and humanity: it unites countries and connects people between the Alberes and the Marenda to the Tordera delta and the Maresme gateway. It is a path of health and development: the well-being of the walker and the cultural and socio-economic stimulus of the territory it covers.

The path crosses 4 natural parks and 7 protected areas with spectacular landscapes, three stretches of coast with their own personality and 28 charming municipalities. It is made up of 18 stages and has a total route of 250 km, of which we can only enjoy 155 km in very good condition. The remaining 95 km are the pending subject for the Camí de Mar to become a reality. It is an itinerary to admire the essence of the Mediterranean, between the green and the blue of its places.

The "sea walker" will be a new environmental and cultural tourist who will walk the entire Costa Brava and the Costa Roja. This new tourist will arrive when we have the 18 stages of the sea path complete, meaning with a route following the sea, continuous, passable and safe, to complete the 250 km of path between Argelers de la Marenda and Malgrat de Mar, with 28 municipalities to cross. In the morning, the sea walker will have an environmental sensitivity when making the sea path. In the afternoon, the sea walker will have a cultural sensitivity when making the inland path.

The Terra – Mar vision and the inland paths will be visited by this new tourist once he has reached the arrival point of each stage at the end of the morning. In the afternoon, the cultural knowledge of the «rerepaís» gives us the great opportunity to have a comprehensive knowledge of our territory.

Today, a Conference on the Camino del Mar, Civil Society and Economic Agents was held at the 1881 Vichy Catalan hotel and spa in Caldes de Malavella.
